Double girder overhead crane, also known as double girder bridge crane or double girder EOT crane is a type of overhead crane that has double beams instead of one. In general, double girder cranes are used for heavy-duty applications, which means components are more complex, driving the cost of this type of crane higher. A double girder overhead bridge crane configuration is made up of two bridge girders, two end trucks, and a trolley hoist assembly.
The double girder overhead crane is the most commonly used type of overhead crane. It can be categorized based on the trolley type into hoist trolley and winch trolley types. The main function of the steel direct distribution center is to centrally store steel of various specifications and models, and distribute and ship them promptly according to customer orders. The electromagnetic bridge double-girder crane is used for hoisting and shipping steel of fixed lengths in the steel direct distribution center. The entire vehicle running mechanism motor requires electrical control by a frequency conversion control device.
The upper rotating electromagnetic suspended crane follows the design specifications of GB/T 3811-2008 “Crane Design Specification” and GB/T 14405-1993 “General Bridge Crane” and other national and industry standards. It is suitable for indoor or outdoor fixed spans in steel plants, yards, and warehouses, for loading, unloading, and transporting materials such as steel plates, profiles, and coils. It is particularly suitable for lifting materials of different specifications and requiring horizontal rotation. The lower part of the suspended beam can carry special lifting equipment such as electromagnetic suction cups and clamps.
The electromagnetic iron magnetization system mainly consists of a control cabinet and a battery. When the electromagnet is used normally, the rectifier circuit in the control cabinet charges the battery. When the external power supply fails, the electromagnetic control system will automatically switch the electromagnet to battery power supply to ensure that the lifted object does not drop due to sudden power failure. According to user requirements, an inverter power supply can be installed for the electromagnetic retention system so that the operator can open the hoisting mechanism brake and lower the lifted object to the ground in case of power failure.
The running mechanism adopts normally closed hydraulic push rod block brakes; the hoisting mechanism adopts hydraulic push rod block brakes. The braking requirements are smooth and reliable. After three full compression tests, the spring used in the brake must not have permanent deformation. The contact area of the assembled brake lining with the brake wheel is not less than 70% of the total area. The rotation of each hinge point of the brake should be flexible.

The power supply of the double girder overhead crane adopts a three-phase four-wire (3P+PE) AC 380V, 50HZ. The power supply is introduced into the main power distribution cabinet of the crane by the sliding wire, and then power is distributed to the main, lighting, and auxiliary circuits. The crane is designed with all cables and wires concealed, with the cables for the large and small cars routed in galvanized wire troughs. The motors and overload lines are protected by steel-reinforced hoses to prevent cable damage caused by human factors and extend the service life.
